Snow has been falling at record levels … ministry has been occurring at a record pace … the New Year has opened so many doors for touching our community on God’s behalf. I hope you and your family have experienced a powerful presence of our God as we seek to more fully establish His Kingdom in this wonderful Northern Arizona community!
As we begin our new ministry year (April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011), I covet your prayers for the five areas of focus God has placed upon our hearts and ministry efforts: Prayer; Compassion; Relationships; Outreach; and, Celebrating God’s Presence and Providence in our lives and ministries.
It promises to be a wonderful year of partnering with God and His people in meeting the needs of our families, His Church, our Northern Arizona community, and, our national and international ministry partnerships. It is my fervent hope your prayers and my prayers will allow God to shape our hearts so that we will passionately implement His mission for Christ’s Church here in Northern Arizona.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the celebration of the foundation for the hope we have in our eternal future. Join us for our Good Friday Service (April 2); our Sunrise Service (April 4), one of our five Weekend Services and our Easter Weekend Prayer Vigil (April 5-6). It promises to be a powerful weekend of Christian prayer, fellowship, and celebration. Be sure to join us and bring your friends and family members with you.
Finally, I want to invite you to join me and other Christians from Northern Arizona for an “Awake Arizona” gathering at our facility on April 23-24. Awake Arizona seeks to unite Arizona Christians and Christian communities in prayer. For this to occur, regional gatherings will be established so that churches from all denominations can come together to worship and pray. We are hoping these gatherings will allow Christians to hear God’s heart for that region and to unite Christian leaders, from different parts of the state, so that relationships will be built and we will become aware of what God is doing in our state.
Awake Arizona will begin with an extended worship service and a message from Pastor Jackson Senyonga on Friday, April 23, from 7-9:30pm. On Saturday, April 24, we will begin at 8:30am with sessions identifying what is happening throughout our state by Christian leaders from throughout Arizona. We will conclude by on-site prayer at strategic locations throughout our city beginning at 1:00 PM. This promises to be a powerful outpouring of God’s presence and Christian fellowship. See you there!
