While attending Manhattan Christian College, I was privileged to travel to over 30 middle school and high school summer camps. While serving on the faculty of these camps, I found it amazing to see how frequently and deeply God spoke to so many of the young campers during their weeks away from family, friends and cultural influences.
A few years ago, Phyllis and I established the Northern Arizona Youth Foundation, a foundation dedicated to providing Northern Arizona youth the opportunity to hear God’s quiet whispers as they receive scholarships to summer camps and short-term mission ventures.
Having established the Foundation, now we needed a way to raise funds for it. With the help of Darrell & Vicki Tannatt we started holding a yearly golf event in Flagstaff as a primary fundraiser for this cause. The “Kids Fore Free” golfing event is now in its eighth year and the date is Monday, September 20th at the Pine Canyon Golf Club. If you would like to join us for this wonderful event, there are a few openings for teams. Our entry fee is $250 per golfer ($1,000.00 for the Team) and your contributions will be used to help fund the camping and short-term mission needs of many young people from CCoF and our Northern Arizona community! Finally, we are over 30 days into our 90 days of reading the Bible together. I hope your first 30 days have been great and your time in God’s Word has strengthened your personal faith in Him, His goodness, and His involvement in our lives. 30 days down and only 60 days to go!
