Did You Know … Over 44 million people move every year? That is one in five people or 20% of our population! Moving can have a stressful to devastating effect on an individual, a family, and a career. For women especially, relocation can be a traumatic and emotional event. Studies have long shown that moving is one of the top 10 traumas in life. In our beautiful city of Flagstaff, we know that families come and go on a regular basis. There is no specific time period for adjusting to a new move, whether you've been here 2 weeks or 2 years.
Please join us for a powerful, hands-on class using biblical principles and practical “how-to’s”, “Moving On After Moving In”! We offer encouragement for women going through the transition and adjustment of moving. Through this class, we will help you find the courage to put down roots all over again.
Class is based on the book, “After the Boxes Are Unpacked”, a Focus on the Family book written by Susan Miller, founder of N.E.W. Ministries.
Joining a NEWcomer's class will...
Encourage you...This is the place to be when you are new in town! Our Christ-centered study will help you in the process of Letting Go, Starting Over, and Moving Ahead with your life after the transition of a move. Come and join us!
Embrace you ... This class is an outreach ministry to all women in a "moving transition." It is a place to belong for those who still feel uprooted and disconnected. This is a one semester class designed to enfold, support and encourage women who have recently moved.
Enable you ... This class enables strong and deep growth in the relationship to Christ and encourages women to establish new roots in their community and church.
Join us and find encouragement for your journey…
Previous attendees of our class offered at CCoF have commented:

"Cling to what God has planned in our lives today and not to forget, but to Cherish those people, places, and things we've moved away from."
"I so enjoyed getting to know each of the ladies in our class and also feel I'm not the 'new one' anymore. When I see you in church on Sundays, it's so nice to see a familiar face."
"I wanted to thank you for beginning the Moving On Study. I felt so welcomed and understood, and it was so good to feel 'not lonely' for those two hours."
"I can't tell you enough how much having you all in my life means to me."
"This class has been such a 'God send' to me."
"I'm so glad to be a part of this group and want you to know that every week I find God using each of you to teach me new ways to love and cope and depend on Him for all my needs especially with good Christian fellowship. Thank you for all you do."
"One of my favorite benefits of class has been going to church and seeing people I know instead of a bunch of strangers. I have also learned how to cherish and not cling and how to help my husband adjust to the move. I am really enjoying the class and praise God that I have been able to take the time to come. Thank you for leading the class so we could have it."
"The Moving On class has been very uplifting and encouraging to me to make this move work."
