70% of American families are one paycheck away from financial disaster.
Does this include you?

The Good Sense Budget Course:

It is possible to be financially free. The Bible addresses all aspects of our finances and outlines a plan that allows us to be financially free. Come and learn what the Bible has to say about Earning, Giving, Saving, Debt and Spending.

The goal of the class is to give Biblical and practical information about finances. Through the course of the day we go through each area of financial faithfulness and prepare a spending plan. By the end of the day you leave with a practical tool to help you move toward financial freedom.

The class will be held March 7 9am-3pm in the Children’s Auditorium. The cost for the class is $20 for singles and $25 for couples. A workbook and Lunch is provided. Sign up at the Information Center to get your workbook and pre-work. Contact Autumn Gosch with questions autumn@ccof.net or 928-522-0462 ext. 129.

If you have no or limited savings, consumer debt or live paycheck to paycheck you may be closer to financial disaster than you realize. The Bible has great insights into all aspects of money management. Here are some opportunities to learn more:

One-on-One Budget Counseling

The weight of financial hardship can be overwhelming. Let us help. We are now offering free one-on-one budget counseling. We have trained a team of budget counselors using the Good Sense budget materials. These individuals are trained to assist you in the main areas of budgeting including creating a spending plan and creating a debt reduction plan. Many people find these areas so overwhelming. Let us help you get these crucial issues under control.

Here is what you can expect: you will begin by turning in some basic information regarding what you own and owe. You will also put together a rough spending plan so that your counselor can see your current spending. Once you turn this in you will be assigned a counselor.

From there, you will work with your counselor to establish the needed items depending on your specific circumstances. For most people these will include a Spending Record, Spending Plan and a Debt Reduction Plan. At the beginning you will meet with your counselor every two weeks to get things rolling. Once some of these things are in place the meetings will become less frequent. Ultimately the counseling relationship should last about 4-6 months. All information is kept confidential and is not shared with pastors or leadership. Our counselors just want to lend a helping hand.

You can get the initial paperwork at the church office or call Autumn Gosch 928-522-0462 for more information.

Financial Planning Ministry

Do you have an Estate Plan? If you have over $50,000 in assets you probably need one. An Estate Plan allows you to determine how your assets will be distributed at your death. This plan can also name your children’s guardians. Without these documents probate court will be free to determine these issues for you.

Financial Planning Ministries (FPM) provides estate planning services, including the creation of wills and trusts. Serving the Christian Church community for over 20 years, FPM provides stewardship and estate planning seminars and assists individuals in the creation of their personal Estate Plan-at no cost. FPM charges nothing for their services. CCoF has hosted a number of seminars for our people in the last couple years and close to 100 families successfully completed these documents using the services of Financial Planning Ministry. This is a can’t-miss opportunity.

FPM will be here to present the details of their ministry October 19 from 2-4 pm in the Children’s Auditorium. Please sign up at the Info Center. Questions? Call Autumn 522-0462 ext 129 or e-mail autumn@ccof.net
